The fur composition requires to specify added informations in order to respect the american law RULES AND REGULATIONS UNDER THE FUR PRODUCTS LABELING ACT 16 CFR Part 301 that in this field is the most restrictive.
However, the label made starting from these informations, it is also consistent with the law UNI 11007 - Requirements and indications for fur products labelling
For this reason the name of the animal has to be filled in imperatively, even if often it isn't identified in an univocal way because in the common use synonims referred also to the geographical provenience are used.
According to the animal's name WebLabel obtains from the database where there are the scientific names without duplicity
Below the example of mink:

Ordine |
Family |
Genus Species |
Mink |
Carnivora |
Mustelidae |
Mustela vison and Mustela lutreola |
On the label, in addition to the animal's name, if the law requires it, there could be indicated also the scientific denominations.
The law requires also the mandatory indication of the fur's country of origin (place of farming)
This information however, can create some confusion , for example in case of Patagonia fox with China origin and made in Italy.
Moreover, other fur's qualities can be indicated and also the production line batch has to match with that of commercial documents and with CITIES certiifications concerning the Washington's convention,
